Good for a cold or chill, Niaouli Essential Oil belongs to the same family as Tea Tree and shares some properties - especially as an antiseptic.
Niaouli oil is the volatile oil obtained from the leaves of Melaleuca viridiflora, Myrtaceae.

Niaouli Essential Oil may be used to clean minor wounds - add 5/6 drops of Niaouli to a pint (250mls) of boiled and cooled water and apply directly to the affected area.

A great oil to use in chest rubs as it can be beneficial for respiratory problems. It is also a stimulating oil so we would not recommend that it is used at night.
Niaouli can also be useful for oily skin and acne. It can also be used in conjunction with a carrier oil to create an uplifting and stimulating massage treatment.
A powerful antiseptic, Niaouli is used in hospitals in France as an antiseptic in obstetrics and gynaecology.
Dilute in a carrier oil before skin application. Keep away from children and out of eyes. Do not take internally or apply undiluted to the skin. For further advice on using essential oils to treat medical conditions, we recommend you seek advice from a professional.
