Turmeric essential oil has been shown by scientific research conducted between 1971 and 1991 have a stronger action than hydrocortisone.

When dliuted in a carrier oil for massage or a cream or lotion and exposed to direct sunlight it has a strong anti-bacterial action, due to a substance called curcumin (more strongly anti-oxidant than Vitamin E.) It's especially handy in foot and hand preperations thanks to its anti-fungal properties.
It's also used in perfumery especially in fragrances with an oriental influence.
Dilute in a carrier oil before skin application. Keep away from children and out of eyes. Do not take internally or apply undiluted to the skin. For further advice on using essential oils to treat medical conditions, we recommend you seek advice from a professional.
